Dryland Exercise Video Library

Under Construction, Coming Soon!

Dryland Basics:

We want our dryland training to supplement and mimic our swimming as much as possible. This is not a replacement for swim training! We divide our swimming motions into four categories: jumping, pulling, pushing, and abs (not shown below).

For each swimming motion, there are four training zones: strength, power, speed and circuit (not shown below). They each focus on improving The Swimming Machine in their own way.

  • Strength = Heavy-ish weight exercises to increases number of muscle fibers recruited for a motion
  • Power = Light weight exercises trains earlier recruitment of muscles after activation
  • Speed = No weight, trains nerves for better coordination at full speed
